Assembly Concurrent RESOLUTION—Providing for the compensation of the clergy for services rendered to the Assembly and the Senate during the 18th Special Session of the Nevada Legislature.

 

1-1     Whereas, The members of the 18th Special Session of the Nevada

1-2  Legislature are sincerely appreciative of the religious services rendered by

1-3  members of the clergy representing various denominations; and

1-4     Whereas, The invocations offered by the clergy provide inspiration

1-5  and guidance for the members of the Nevada Legislature as they face the

1-6  challenges and demands of the 18th Special Session of the Nevada

1-7  Legislature; and

1-8     Whereas, A reasonable compensation should be provided for the

1-9  clergy who perform such services; now, therefore, be it

1-10     Resolved by the Assembly of the State of Nevada, the Senate

1-11  Concurring, That the State Controller is authorized and directed to pay

1-12  the sum of $35 per service out of the legislative fund to the members of the

1-13  clergy who perform religious services for the Assembly and the Senate

1-14  during the 18th Special Session of the Nevada Legislature.
