      ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE ON COMMERCE

 

      Sixty-seventh Session

      March 1, 1993

 

The Assembly Committee on Commerce met in the Assembly Chambers at the desk of Chairman Porter on March 2, 1993, at 11:18 a.m.

 

A two-thirds majority was present.  The Chairman called for a motion for committee introduction of the following bill draft requests:

 

BDR 54-883  Requiring a person who operates an office,                                   store or other location for dispensing hearing           aids to obtain an owner's license; authorizing          the issuance of a temporary license to practice          as a hearing aid specialist; requiring the           governor to appoint the chairman and secretary of        the board of hearing aid specialists; and       providing other matters properly relating          thereto.

 

      ASSEMBLYMAN HUMKE MOVED FOR COMMITTEE INTRODUCTION OF

      BDR 54-883.

 

      ASSEMBLYMAN ARBERRY SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

 

BDR 55-1055Revising the provisions governing annual meetings of stockholders of banks; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

      ASSEMBLYMAN WILLIAMS MOVED FOR COMMITTEE INTRODUCTION OF

      BDR 55-1055

 

      ASSEMBLYMAN PERKINS SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      THE MOTION CARRIED.  ASSEMBLYMAN HELLER ABSTAINED FROM          THE VOTE.
