The Assembly Committee on Commerce met in the Assembly Chambers at the desk of Chairman Porter on June 2, 1993, at 11:30 a.m. A two-thirds majority was present. The Chairman called for motions for committee introduction of the following bill draft requests:
BDR 54-1773Requires persons claiming certain exemptions from provisions relating to architects to file affidavit when obtaining building permit.

THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
BDR 54-1583Requires contractor who excavates street for construction project to post bond to ensure adequate restoration of street.

THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
BDR 28-2076Revises provisions for establishing eligibility for preference given to local contractors for public works projects.

ASSEMBLYMAN PERKINS SECONDED THE MOTION.
THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
BDR 57-2042Requires salaried employee of insurer to be certified before he investigates or settles insurance claim.

BDR 57-1652Requires that policy of liability insurance covering motor vehicle provide for partial rebate of premium for person who does not make claim for extended period.
