      ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE ON COMMERCE

 

      Sixty-seventh Session

The Assembly Committee on Commerce met in the Assembly Chambers at the desk of Chairman Porter on June 27, 1993, at 2:00 p.m.  A two-thirds majority was present.  The Chairman called for a motion on the following bills.

 

SB 368      Revises definition of "institutional pharmacy."

 

      ASSEMBLYMAN GARNER MOVED DO PASS.

 

      ASSEMBLYMAN SCHERER SECONDED THE MOTION,

     

      MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

     

 

SB 361      Establishes office of science, engineering and technology within the commission on economic development.

 

      ASSEMBLYMAN WILLIAMS MOVED DO PASS.

 

      ASSEMBLYMAN GARNER SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      THE MOTION CARRIED, WITH ASSEMBLYMEN SCHERER, GIUNCHIGLIANI, AUGUSTINE AND HUMKE VOTING NO.

 

AB 558      Regulates business for repair of motor vehicles.

 

      ASSEMBLYMAN PERKINS MOVED AMEND AND DO PASS.

 

      ASSEMBLYMAN HUMKE SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      THE MOTION CARRIED, WITH ASSEMBLYMEN AUGUSTINE AND SCHERER       VOTING NO, AND ASSEMBLYMAN HELLER ABSTAINED.
