      ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE ON ELECTIONS AND PROCEDURES

 

      Sixty-seventh Session

      June 24, 1993

 

 

 

The Assembly Committee on Elections and Procedures met in the Assembly Chambers at the desk of Chairman Myrna Williams on June 24, 1993, at 11:30 a.m., for the purpose of considering the following Joint Resolution.  A two thirds majority was present.  The Committee voted to suspend Rule 92.

 

      AJR 41:     Urges President of United States not to use surplus in Social Security to reduce national debt and limit budget deficit.

                          

      ASSEMBLYMAN PORTER MOVED TO DO PASS AJR 41.

 

      ASSEMBLYMAN SADER SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      MOTION CARRIED.

      ASSEMBLYMAN HUMKE MOVED TO SUSPEND RULE 92.

 

      ASSEMBLYMAN SADER SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      MOTION CARRIED.

 

There being no further business to come before the Committee, Chairman Williams adjourned the meeting at 11:40 a.m.
