The Senate Committee on Commerce and Labor was called to order by Chairman Randolph J. Townsend, at 11:24 a.m., on Wednesday, June 2, 1993, on the Senate floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada.  There was no Meeting Agenda.  There was no Attendance Roster.

Chairman Townsend opened the meeting on the floor of the Senate Chambers at l1:24 a.m.  Senator Townsend asked the committee to introduce the following Bill Draft Requests (BDRs):

 

BILL DRAFT REQUEST 54-1131:   Makes various changes regarding licensure or other authorization to practice certain professions and occupations.

 

BILL DRAFT REQUEST 54-2028:   Makes various changes relating to homeopathic physicians.

 

BILL DRAFT REQUEST 40-2107:   Prohibits certain providers of health care under specified circumstances from referring patient to health care facility in which provider of health care has financial interest.

 

                              

 

 

      SENATOR NEVIN MOVED FOR COMMITTEE INTRODUCTION OF BDR 54-1131, BDR 54-2028, AND BDR 40-2107.

 

      SENATOR SHAFFER SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
