The Senate Committee on Commerce and Labor was called to order by Vice Chairman Sue Lowden, at 12:39 p.m., on Tuesday, June 22, 1993, on the Senate floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada.  There was no Meeting Agenda.  There was no Attendance Roster.

Vice Chairman Lowden discussed Amendment No. 986 to Senate Bill (S.B.) 440 and asked the committee for a motion to amend and do pass.

 

SENATE BILL 440:  Includes test of person's hair as permissible test in certain circumstances to determine presence of controlled substance or other chemical.        

 

      SENATOR McGINNESS MOVED TO AMEND AND DO PASS S.B. 440.

 

      SENATOR SHAFFER SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      THE MOTION CARRIED.  (SENATOR NEVIN VOTED NO.  SENATOR TOWNSEND WAS ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)
