The Senate Committee on Government Affairs was called to order by Chairman Ann O'Connell, at 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, June 29, 1993, on the Senate floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada.  There was no Meeting Agenda.  There was no Attendance Roster.

Chairman O'Connell told the committee about a proposed amendment to Senate Bill (S.B.) 542.  The committee had previously taken action on the bill and that action needed to be rescinded in order to add the amendment.

 

SENATE BILL 542:  Provides for statutory transfer of certain powers to division of child and family services from other divisions of department of human resources.

 

      SENATOR HICKEY MOVED TO RESCIND THE MOTION TO DO PASS S.B. 542.

 

      SENATOR NEVIN SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

      SENATOR HICKEY MOVED TO AMEND AND DO PASS S.B. 542 WITH AMENDMENT NO. 1215.

 

      SENATOR NEVIN SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

There being no further business, Chairman O'Connell adjourned the meeting at 1:05 p.m.
