The Senate Committee on Human Resources and Facilities was called to order by Chairman Raymond D. Rawson, at 3:45 p.m., on Wednesday, June 30, 1993, on the Senate floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada.  There was no Meeting Agenda.  There was no Attendance Roster.

Chairman Rawson reopened the floor hearing on Assembly Bill (A.B.) 468 and placed it in conference committee with Senators O'Donnell, Coffin and Brown.

 

ASSEMBLY BILL 468:      Makes various changes relating to powers and duties of board of trustees of consolidated library district.

 

      SENATOR COFFIN MADE THE MOTION TO DO NOT RECEDE A.B. 486.

 

      SENATOR BROWN SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      THE MOTION CARRIED.  (SENATOR TOWNSEND WAS ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)

Chairman Rawson opened the floor hearing on Senate Bill (S.B.) 495, with Amendment No. 1123.

 

SENATE BILL 495:  Limits liability of certain volunteers with respect to emergency medical services in smaller counties under certain circumstances.

 

 

      SENATOR BROWN MOVED TO CONCUR WITH AMENDMENT NO. 1123 OF S.B. 495.

 

      SENATOR O'DONNELL SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      THE MOTION CARRIED.  (SENATORS RAWSON AND NEAL VOTED NO.  SENATOR TOWNSEND WAS ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)

Chairman Rawson opened the floor hearing on Senate Bill 218  with Amendment No. 1009.

 

SENATE BILL 218:  Authorizes school districts to enter into agreements with certain postsecondary educational institutions to assign students of such institutions to certain training positions in public schools.

 

      SENATOR NEAL MOVED TO CONCUR WITH AMENDMENT NO. 1009 of S.B. 218.

 

      SENATOR BROWN SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      THE MOTION CARRIED.  (SENATORS O'DONNELL, COFFIN AND GLOMB WERE ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)
