The Senate Committee on Judiciary was called to order by Chairman Mark A. James, at 8:21 p.m., on Wednesday, June 30, 1993, on the Senate floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada.  There was no meeting agenda.  There was no attendance roster.

Chairman James called the meeting to order at his desk on the Senate floor to consider a rescission of the committee's earlier motion to recede from Senate Amendment No. 458 to Assembly Bill (A.B.) 435.

 

ASSEMBLY BILL 435:      Provides for disposition upon divorce of property held by parties in joint tenancy. (BDR 11-1448)

 

Senator James advised the committee he had spoken with Senator Joe Neal, the proposer of the amendment in question, and Senator Neal requested the opportunity to address the assembly's concerns in a conference committee.

 

      SENATOR SMITH MOVED TO RESCIND THE COMMITTEE'S EARLIER MOTION TO RECEDE FROM SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 458 TO A.B. 435.

 

      SENATOR SHAFFER SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      THE MOTION CARRIED. (SENATORS TITUS AND ADLER WERE ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)
