The Senate Committee on Judiciary was called to order by Chairman Mark A. James, at 11:13 a.m., on Thursday, April 15, 1993, on the Senate floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada.

Chairman James called the meeting to order at his desk on the Senate floor to consider the assembly's request that the Senate Committee on Judiciary recede from its amendment to Assembly Bill (A.B.) 68.

 

 

ASSEMBLY BILL 68:Extends time in which action for damages for injury arising from sexual abuse of minor may be commenced. (BDR 2-827)

 

 

The Senate Committee on Judiciary was in agreement to not recede its amendment to A.B. 68 and to establish a conference committee to resolve the matter.

 

            SENATOR ADLER MOVED TO NOT RECEDE FROM THE AMENDMENT.

 

            SENATOR MCGINNESS SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

            THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

Chairman James appointed Senators McGinness, Adler, and Jacobsen as the members of the conference committee.

 

There being no further matters before the committee, Chairman James adjourned the meeting at 11:14 a.m.
