The Senate Committee on Judiciary was called to order by Chairman Mark A. James, at 10:11 a.m., on Friday, June 25, 1993, on the Senate floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada.  There was no Meeting Agenda.  There was no Attendance Roster.

Chairman James discussed Amendment No. 968 to Senate Bill (S.B.) 79 and asked the committee for a motion.

 

SENATE BILL 79:   Eliminates requirement that adoptive parents of child with special needs have limited financial resources to receive financial assistance.

 

      SENATOR McGINNESS MOVED TO CONCUR WITH THE AMENDMENT NO. 968 TO       S.B. 79.

 

      SENATOR SHAFFER SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

Chairman James discussed Amendment No. 1043 to Assembly Bill (A.B.) 508 and asked the committee for a motion.

 

SENATE BILL 508:  Prohibits person from selling, without authority of lawful holder, code or number that can be used to obtain telephone services.

Chairman James discussed Amendment No. 520 to Assembly Bill (A.B.) 361 and asked the committee not to recede and to request a conference.  Discussion followed.

 

 

      SENATOR McGINNESS MOVED NOT TO RECEDE FROM SENATE ACTION ON

      A.B 361.

 

      SENATOR JACOBSEN THE MOTION.

 

      MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
