The Senate Committee on Judiciary was called to order by Chairman Mark A. James, at 6:48 p.m., on Tuesday, June 29, 1993, on the Senate floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada.  There was no meeting agenda.  There was no attendance roster.

Chairman James called the meeting to order at his desk on the Senate floor to consider the assembly amendments to Senate Bill (S.B.) 413 and Senate Bill (S.B.) 554.  Senator James briefly explained the amendments.

 

 

SENATE BILL 413:  Makes various changes regarding civil actions. (BDR 2-1324)

 

            SENATOR SMITH MOVED TO CONCUR IN ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT NO. 1051 TO S.B. 413.

 

            SENATOR TITUS SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

            THE MOTION CARRIED. (SENATORS JACOBSEN, MCGINNESS AND SHAFFER WERE ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)

SENATE BILL 554:  Makes retroactive certain limitations on actions involving real property after prescribed period. (BDR 2-2033)

 

            SENATOR ADLER MOVED TO CONCUR IN ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT NO. 1195 A.B. 554.

 

            SENATOR TITUS SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

            THE MOTION CARRIED. (SENATORS JACOBSEN, MCGINNESS AND SHAFFER WERE ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)
