The Senate Committee on Legislative Affairs and Operations was called to order by Chairman Mike McGinness, at 2:30 p.m., on Wednesday, June 30, 1993, on the Senate floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada.  There was no Meeting Agenda.  There was no Attendance Roster.

Chairman McGinness asked for a committee introduction of Bill Draft Request (BDR) R-2187.

 

Bill Draft Request R-2187:      Designates certain Senators as members of Legislative Commission and provides method for selecting alternate members.

 

      SENATOR GLOMB MOVED TO INTRODUCE BDR R-2187.

 

      SENATOR SMITH SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      THE MOTION CARRIED.  (SENATOR RAGGIO, SENATOR RAWSON AND SENATOR CALLISTER WERE ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)

Senator McGinness then asked for a do pass motion for Assembly Bill 425.

 

Assembly Bill 425:      Allows greater flexibility in taking extended adjournment during regular session of legislature  (BDR 17-1884)

 

 

      SENATOR SMITH MOVED TO DO PASS ASSEMBLY BILL 425.

 

      SENATOR GLOMB SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      THE MOTION CARRIED.  (SENATOR RAGGIO, SENATOR RAWSON AND SENATOR CALLISTER WERE ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)

 

 

Chairman McGinness adjourned the meeting at 2:34 p.m.
