      Sixty-seventh Session

The Senate Committee on Natural Resources was called to order by Chairman R. Hal Smith, at 11:50 p.m., on Thursday, July 1, 1993, on the Senate floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada.  There was no Meeting Agenda.  There was no Attendance Roster.

SENATE BILL 347:  Makes various statutory changes in compliance with federal Clean Air Act.

 

Chairman Smith convened the floor meeting and suggested that members of the committee may want to reconsider their previous action on the assembly amendment to Senate Bill (S.B.) 347.

 

Brian R. Hutchins, Chief Deputy Attorney General, Transportation Division, Office of the Attorney General, provided an explanation of the assembly amendment to S.B. 347 to members of the committee.  There was a general consensus of opinion to concur with the assembly amendment and Chairman Smith called for action on the bill.

 

 

      SENATOR ADLER MOVED TO RESCIND THE PREVIOUS ACTION TAKEN ON S.B. 347.

 

      SENATOR JAMES SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      THE MOTION CARRIED.  (SENATOR HICKEY WAS ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)

 

Chairman Smith called for action on S.B. 347.

 

      SENATOR TITUS MOVED TO CONCUR IN THE ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT TO S.B. 347.

 

      SENATOR NEAL SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      THE MOTION CARRIED.  (SENATORS HICKEY AND RHOADS WERE ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)

There being no further business before the Senate Committee on Natural Resources, Chairman Smith adjourned the hearing at 11:55 p.m.
