The Senate Committee on Transportation was called to order by Chairman William R. O'Donnell, at 11:30 a.m., on Thursday, June 7, 1993, on the Senate floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada.  There was no Meeting Agenda.  There was no Attendance Roster.

Chairman O'Donnell convened the meeting to discuss Senate Bill (S.B.) 106 and Assembly Bill (A.B.) 56.

 

Senate Bill 106:  Increases maximum weight allowed on certain public highways for certain vehicles used for public mass transportation.

 

Assembly Bill 56:Increases penalty, under certain circumstances, for failing or refusing to stop vehicle when signaled by peace officer.

 

      SENATOR NEVIN MOVED TO AMEND AND DO PASS S.B. 106.

 

      SENATOR JACOBSEN SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

      SENATOR BROWN MOVED TO DO PASS A.B. 56.

 

      SENATOR NEVIN SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

      THE MOTION CARRIED.  (SENATOR NEAL VOTED NO.  SENATOR JAMES WAS ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)

There being no further business before the committee, Chairman O'Donnell adjourned the meeting at 11:32 a.m.
