The Senate Committee on Transportation was called to order by Chairman William R. O'Donnell, at 4:53 p.m., on Monday, June 28, 1993, on the Senate floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Meeting Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster.

Chairman O'Donnell convened the meeting to discuss Assembly Bill (A.B.) 229.
Assembly Bill 229: Expands and under certain circumstances makes mandatory provision regarding suspension of driver's license of juveniles who commit certain unlawful acts.
Chairman O'Donnell explained an amendment to the bill which would require a juvenile who is seeking a driver's license to sign an affidavit agreeing to remain drug and alcohol free with the understanding that if the juvenile is convicted of any drug or alcohol-related offense their driver's license would be automatically suspended for 6 months.
SENATOR JACOBSEN MOVED TO AMEND A.B. 229.
SENATOR NEVIN SECONDED THE MOTION.
THE MOTION CARRIED. (SENATOR NEAL ABSTAINED. SENATORS HICKEY AND JAMES WERE ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)
There being no further business before the committee, Chairman O'Donnell adjourned the meeting at 4:57 p.m.
