SUMMARY--Urges state industrial insurance system to 
          establish program for education of certain 
          employers and employees concerning 
          operation of system and their rights and 
          responsibilities as participants in system.

ASSEMBLY CONCURRENT RESOLUTION--Urging the state industrial insurance 
        system to establish a program for the education of employers 
        who have recently been insured by the system and employees who 
        have filed claims with the system concerning the operation of 
        the system and their rights and responsibilities as 
        participants in the system.


  WHEREAS, The state industrial insurance system 
was established to insure employers against liability for 
injuries and occupational diseases sustained by their 
employees; and
  WHEREAS, An important function of the state 
industrial insurance system is to provide prompt and 
efficient payment of benefits to injured and disabled 
employees; and
   WHEREAS, It is essential for the efficient 
operation and financial stability of the state industrial 
insurance system that employers who have recently been 
insured by the system and employees who have filed claims 
with the system understand the operation of the system and 
their rights and responsibilities as participants in the 
system; now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, THE 
SENATE CONCURRING, That the Nevada Legislature urges 
the state industrial insurance system to establish a program 
for the education of employers who have recently been 
insured by the system and employees who have filed claims 
with the system concerning the operation of the system and 
their rights and responsibilities as participants in the 
system; and be it further
  RESOLVED, That the Chief Clerk of the Assembly 
prepare and transmit a copy of this resolution to the 
governor acting in his capacity as administrator of the 
state industrial insurance system and the manager of the 
state industrial insurance system.
