SUMMARY--Directs adjustment of sums of money from 
          issuance of certain state general 
          obligation bonds previously authorized for 
          expenditure for certain purposes related to 
          protection and preservation of natural

ASSEMBLY CONCURRENT RESOLUTION--Directing the adjustment of sums of 
        money from the issuance of certain state general obligation 
        bonds previously authorized for expenditure for certain 
        purposes related to the protection and preservation of natural 
        resources.


  WHEREAS, Section 1 of chapter 785, Statutes of 
Nevada 1989, at page 1864, authorizes the issuance of 
general obligation bonds of the state for the purposes of 
protecting, preserving and obtaining the benefits of natural 
resources; and
  WHEREAS, Section 2 of chapter 785, Statutes of 
Nevada 1989, at page 1864, provides that certain sums of 
money from the issuance of the general obligation bonds must 
be allocated to the Division of State Parks of the State 
Department of Conservation and Natural Resources for 
carrying out such purposes; and
  WHEREAS, Section 3 of chapter 785, Statutes of 
Nevada 1989, at page 1865, as amended by chapter 83, 
Statutes of Nevada 1991, at page 148, provides that if the 
Legislature is in regular or special session, the 
Administrator of the Division of State Parks of the State 
Department of Conservation and Natural Resources must obtain 
the approval and direction of the Legislature before he may 
expend money in addition to those amounts previously 
authorized for the acquisition and development of real or 
personal property, interests in real or personal property or 
a combination thereof; and
  WHEREAS, The Administrator of the Division of 
State Parks of the State Department of Conservation and 
Natural Resources has requested the approval and direction 
of the 68th session of the Legislature to adjust the sums of 
money which were allocated to the Division of State Parks 
from the issuance of the general obligation bonds and which 
were previously authorized by the Interim Finance Committee 
for expenditure; now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, THE 
SENATE CONCURRING, That the sums of money which were 
allocated to the Division of State Parks of the State 
Department of Conservation and Natural Resources from the 
issuance of general obligation bonds pursuant to chapter 
785, Statutes of Nevada 1989, and which were previously 
authorized by the Interim Finance Committee for expenditure 
for purposes related to certain parks in this state, be 
adjusted as follows:
  1.  Reduce the sum of money authorized for the acquisition 
of real or personal property or interests in real or 
personal property by $42,208;
  2.  Reduce the sum of money authorized for the Old Las 
Vegas Mormon Fort State Historic Park by $53,817;
  3.  Reduce the sum of money authorized for the South Fork 
State Recreation Area by $42,231;
  4.  Reduce the sum of money authorized for the Washoe Lake 
State Park by $27,667;
  5.  Reduce the sum of money authorized for the Ward 
Charcoal Ovens State Historic Park by $23,731;
  6.  Increase the sum of money authorized for the Kershaw 
Canyon-Ryan State Park by $28,977;
  7.  Increase the sum of money authorized for the Spring 
Mountain Ranch State Park by $8,081;
  8.  Increase the sum of money authorized for the Valley of 
Fire State Park by $4,448;
  9.  Increase the sum of money authorized for the Big Bend 
of the Colorado State Recreation Area by $2,962;
  10.  Increase the sum of money authorized for the Floyd R. 
Lamb State Park by $15,311; and
  11.  Increase the sum of money authorized for the 
Cathedral Gorge State Park by $129,875;
and be it further
  RESOLVED, That the Chief Clerk of the Assembly 
prepare and transmit a copy of this resolution to the 
Administrator of the Division of State Parks of the State 
Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
