MINUTES OF THE SENATE COMMITTEE ON TRANSPORTATION Sixty-eighth Session June 28, 1995 The Senate Committee on Transportation was called to order by Chairman William R. O'Donnell, at 1:30 p.m., on Wednesday, June 28, 1995, on the Senate floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster. Shaffer STAFF MEMBER PRESENT: Joan Thran, Committee Secretary Senator O'Donnell started discussion of Amendment No. 1256 to Senate Bill (S.B.) 443 which provides evidence be filed with the commission on a liability insurance policy and bond. This is required for every common and contract motor carrier. SENATE BILL 443: Regulates operation of tow cars. SENATOR WASHINGTON MOVED TO CONCUR WITH AMENDMENT NO. 1256 TO S.B. 443. SENATOR LEE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. ***** Senate Committee on Transportation June 28, 1995 Page 2 Senator O'Donnell started discussion on Amendment No. 764 to Assembly Bill (A.B.) 187. ASSEMBLY BILL 187: Revises provisions relating to disclosure of certain information contained in records of department of motor vehicles and public safety. Senator O'Donnell stated that the Assembly would not concur with the Senate Committee on Transportation's action on A.B. 187. He requested that the committee do not recede on their action and go to a conference committee. Senator O'Donnell assigned Senators Washington, Porter and Lee as a first committee on conference. SENATOR LEE MOVED NOT TO RECEDE ON A.B. 187 AND GO TO A FIRST COMMITTEE ON CONFERENCE. SENATOR WASHINGTON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED.
