AN ACT making appropriations to Clark County for the expansion and operating expenses of the Spring Mountain Youth Camp; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to Clark County the sum of $11,775,250 for the demolition of certain old structures and the construction and expansion of the facilities at the Spring Mountain Youth Camp.
2. Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by subsection 1 must not be committed for expenditure after the project is completed and reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of money committed have been made.
Sec. 2 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to Clark County for the operating expenses of the Spring Mountain Youth Camp:
For fiscal year 1997-1998 $920,000
For fiscal year 1998-1999 $920,000
2. Any balance of the sums appropriated by subsection 1 remaining at the end of the respective fiscal years must not be committed for expenditure after June 30 of the respective fiscal years and reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of money committed have been made.
Sec. 3 This act becomes effective upon passage and approval or on June 30, 1997, whichever occurs earlier.
