AN ACT making an appropriation to Clark and Washoe counties for support of the amateur athletics and recreational programs in those counties; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1 There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to Clark and Washoe counties the sum of $300,000 to be allocated as follows:

Clark County $200,000

Washoe County $100,000

Sec. 2 The money appropriated by section 1 of this act must be used for contributions to the MeFiYi Foundation to support amateur athletics and recreational programs in the respective counties.
Sec. 3 This act becomes effective upon passage and approval or on June 30, 1997, whichever occurs earlier.
