Senate Bill 438: Makes various changes related to electric restructuring. (BDR 58-861)
THE FOLLOWING IS A VERBATIM TRANSCRIPTION OF THE MINUTES.
Chairman Bache: I have no progress to report as far as potential amendments to the bill. Is there anybody wishing to provide any new testimony at this time?
Assemblywoman Tiffany: (Off microphone and unintelligible)
Chairman Bache: Very quick, Ms. Tiffany. Okay, what I’m looking to do then – let the rest of the committee members know – is that we’ll – I thought we would have something for today but that is not the case, so as far as possible amendments that I’d like to propose. So what we’re going to do is adjourn until Thursday and then we’ll have a meeting Thursday at 2 o’clock. Hopefully we can finish it up at that time. Do I have any questions or comments from committee members?
Assemblywoman Tiffany: Mr. Chairman, can you explain the process on Thursday? Will we be going over just the amendments and voting on the amendments one at a time? Or what are we going to do on Thursday?
Chairman Bache: Well, we’ll go through any proposed amendments that we’ve had currently that have been previously proposed, and dispose of them in some manner as a committee. And then the amendments I’ve been working on, trying to clarify and redo some of those key sections, sections 13 and 14. That will be available then for discussion and possibly voting.
Assemblywoman Tiffany: If it would be possible, could you have maybe
Dave [Ziegler] put together like a work session document? I’d like to have that if I could so I can start working on it and highlighting it, because I don’t really have them organized like I should. Would that be possible?
Chairman Bache: I believe on the ones that have already been proposed to the committee, we can put a packet together on. Two of them have been adopted. I think that was the day you were excused.
Assemblywoman Tiffany: It would be very helpful.
Chairman Bache: Okay. Anything else from members of the committee before we – last chance for anybody out there who wants to say anything.
(Laughter from the audience.)
Chairman Bache: I’m surprised. Any other time we’d hear from you all. With that, this meeting is adjourned.
Chairman Bache adjourned the meeting at 3:22 p.m.

Charlotte Tucker,
