The Senate Committee on Finance was called to order by Chairman William J. Raggio, at 1:30 p.m., on Sunday, May 30, 1999, on the Senate Floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda and no Attendance Roster.

Senator Raggio explained the bill to the committee and asked for comments. No comments were forthcoming and he requested a motion to do pass Senate Bill (S.B.) 556.

SENATE BILL 556: Creates task force on policy of State of Nevada concerning access to public health services. (BDR S-1787)

SENATOR O'DONNELL MOVED TO DO PASS S.B. 556.

SENATOR RAWSON SECONDED THE MOTION.

THE MOTION CARRIED. (SENATOR NEAL WAS ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)

Senator Raggio explained the bill to the committee and asked for comments. No comments were forthcoming and he requested a motion to do pass Assembly Bill (A.B.) 669.

ASSEMBLY BILL 699: authorizes and provides funding for certain projects of capital improvement. (BDR S-1779)

SENATOR O’DONNELL MOVED TO DO PASS A.B. 699.

SENATOR JACOBSEN SECONDED THE MOTION

THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

Senator Raggio explained the bill to the committee and asked for comments. No comments were forthcoming so he requested a motion to do pass A.B. 700.

ASSEMBLY BILL 700: Makes various changes relating to education and makes appropriations for class-size reduction. (BDR S-1783)

SENATOR O’DONNELL MOVED TO PASS A.B. 700.

SENATOR JACOBSEN SECONDED THE MOTION.

THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

Senator Rawson revealed he is an employee of the University and Community College System of Nevada and would vote on the bill.
