The Senate Committee on Finance was called to order by Chairman William J. Raggio, at 11:12 p.m., on Monday, May 31, 1999, on the Senate Floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster.

Senator Raggio stated Assembly Bill (A.B.) 474 provides funds for health care purposes from the federal tobacco settlement monies.
ASSEMBLY BILL 474: Creates trust fund for public health. (BDR 40-1207)
Scott Scherer briefly reviewed some of the content of the amendments to the bill. He said the Aging Services Division would administer the portion applying to long-term care issues.
SENATOR O’DONNELL MOVED TO RECOMMEND A.B. 474 FOR DO PASS.
SENATOR JACOBSEN SECONDED THE MOTION.
THE MOTION CARRIED. (SENATORS RAWSON AND MATHEWS WERE ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)
