The Senate Committee on Government Affairs was called to order by Chairman Ann O'Connell, at 11:35 a.m., on Monday, March 22, 1999, on the Senate Floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster.

BILL DRAFT REQUEST O-1365: Revises applicability of information obtained from national decennial census to determinations of population for certain purposes. (Later introduced as Senate Bill 531.)

BILL DRAFT REQUEST 32-703: Provides for review and adjustment of amount allocated to certain governmental entities from local government tax distribution fund. (Later introduced as Senate Bill 534.)

BILL DRAFT REQUEST 32-704: Includes assessed valuation attributable to redevelopment agency in calculation of assessed valuation of local government or special district for distribution of proceeds of certain taxes. (Later introduced as Senate Bill 535.)

BILL DRAFT REQUEST 32-706: Revises provisions governing establishment of combined property tax rate. (Later introduced as Senate Bill 536.)

BILL DRAFT REQUEST 32-708: Revises provisions governing tax abatements for certain businesses. (Later introduced as Senate Bill 537.)

BILL DRAFT REQUEST C-709: Proposes to amend Nevada Constitution to provide requirements for enactment of property and sales tax exemptions. (Later introduced as Senate Joint Resolution 20.)

BILL DRAFT REQUEST 32-710: Makes various changes relating to distribution of proceeds of certain taxes. (Later introduced as Senate Bill 538.)

BILL DRAFT REQUEST 32-711: Makes various changes relating to exemptions from certain taxes. (Later introduced as Senate Bill 539.)

SENATOR PORTER MOVED TO INTRODUCE BDR 32-703, BDR 32-704, BDR 32-706, BDR 32-708, BDR C-709, BDR 32-710, AND BDR 32-711.

SENATOR CARE SECONDED THE MOTION.

THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
