The Senate Committee on Human Resources and Facilities was called to order by Chairman Raymond D. Rawson, at 12:20 p.m., on Tuesday, May 18, 1999, on the Senate Floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster.

Chairman Rawson explained the amendment to Senate Bill (S.B.) 97.

SENATE BILL 97: Revises composition of commission on mental health and developmental services. (BDR 18-1166)

Chairman Rawson stated the amendment is a conflict amendment. The title of the bill changes the wording "mental retardation" to "developmental services."

SENATOR WIENER MOVED TO CONCUR WITH AMENDMENT NO. 910 TO S.B. 97.

SENATOR WASHINGTON SECONDED THE MOTION.

THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

Chairman Rawson reviewed the amendment to S.B. 519.

SENATE BILL 519: Authorizes certain persons to possess and administer controlled substances and dangerous drugs. (BDR 40-456)

Chairman Rawson noted the Assembly amendment removes certain language from the bill, because some had problems with pharmacists administering immunizations.

SENATOR WIENER MOVED NOT TO CONCUR WITH AMENDMENT NO. 878 TO S.B. 519.

SENATOR AMODEI SECONDED THE MOTION.

THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
