The Senate Committee on Human Resources and Facilities was called to order by Chairman Raymond D. Rawson, at 12:40 p.m., on Wednesday, May 26, 1999, on the Senate Floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster.

Chairman Rawson asked the committee to consider Assembly Amendment No. 729 of Senate Bill (S.B.) 263.

SENATE BILL 263: Creates office of veterans’ services and changes name of certain other offices. (BDR 37-1046)

SENATOR WASHINGTON MOVED TO CONCUR WITH AMENDMENT NO. 729 TO S.B. 263.

SENATOR WIENER SECONDED THE MOTION.

THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

ASSEMBLY BILL 313: Revises provisions governing education. (BDR 34-1331)

SENATOR AMODEI MOVED TO NOT RECEDE FROM AMENDMENT NO. 1061 TO A.B. 313.

SENATOR WASHINGTON SECONDED THE MOTION.

THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

ASSEMBLY BILL 15: Makes various changes regarding truancy, discipline and transportation of pupils. (BDR 34-319)

SENATOR WASHINGTON MOVED TO NOT RECEDE FROM AMENDMENT NO. 1122 AND AMENDMENT NO. 1096 TO A.B. 15.

SENATOR WIENER SECONDED THE MOTION.

THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
