The Senate Committee on Legislative Affairs and Operations was called to order by Chairman Jon C. Porter at 2:52 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18, 1999, on the Senate Floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster.

Chairman Porter opened the meeting and asked for an introduction of Bill Draft Request (BDR) R-1735.

BILL DRAFT REQUEST R-1735: Directs Legislative Commission to conduct interim study to determine feasibility of establishment and operation of banking corporation by state. (Later introduced as Senate Concurrent Resolution 47.)

Senator Neal asked the committee to consider BDR R-1735 to be introduced on the Senate Floor.

Chairman Porter requested a motion.

SENATOR JAMES MOVED TO INTRODUCE BDR R-1735.

SENATOR CARLTON SECONDED THE MOTION.

THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
