The Senate Committee on Legislative Affairs and Operations was called to order by Chairman Jon C. Porter at 11:57 a.m. on Tuesday, May 18, 1999, on the Senate Floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster.

Chairman Porter opened the meeting and asked for a motion on Senate Concurrent Resolution (S.C.R.) 46.
SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 46: Requests return to Senate from Governor’s office of Senate Bill No. 8 of this session. (BDR R-1758)
Chairman Porter said Senate Bill (S.B.) 8 needed to be reintroduced to the Senate.
SENATE BILL 8: Makes various changes concerning practice of barbering. (BDR 54-803)
Senator Rawson explained the Governor would not support any fee increases unless those being affected are in support, and there has been considerable opposition to Senate Bill 8.
SENATOR RAWSON MOVED TO ADOPT S.C.R. 46.
SENATOR JAMES SECONDED THE MOTION.
THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
