The Senate Committee on Legislative Affairs and Operations was called to order by Chairman Jon C. Porter at 1:05 p.m. on Saturday, May 29, 1999, on the Senate Floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster.

Chairman Porter opened the meeting and asked for a motion on Assembly Bill (A.B.) 170.

ASSEMBLY BILL 170: Provides for supplemental allowance to certain legislators who maintain temporary quarters in Carson City during legislative session. (BDR 17-60)

SENATOR RAGGIO MOVED TO DO PASS A.B. 170.

SENATOR CARLTON SECONDED THE MOTION.

THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

Chairman Porter requested a motion to rescind a previous action to combine Senate Concurrent Resolution (S.C.R.) 4 with Senate Concurrent Resolution (S.C.R.) 5 and to adopt S.C.R. 4.

SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 4: Directs Legislative Commission to appoint a subcommittee to conduct interim study concerning long-term care. (BDR R-482)

SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 5: Directs Legislative Commission to conduct interim study of Medicaid managed care programs. (BDR R-493)

SENATOR RAWSON MOVED TO RESCIND PREVIOUS ACTION TO COMBINE S.C.R. 4 WITH S.C.R. 5 AND TO ADOPT S.C.R. 4.

SENATOR TITUS SECONDED THE MOTION.

THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

Chairman Porter asked for a motion to indefinitely postpone Senate Concurrent Resolution (S.C.R.) 5.

 

SENATOR RAWSON MOVED TO INDEFINITELY POSTPONE S.C.R. 5.

SENATOR RAGGIO SECONDED THE MOTION.

THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
