The Senate Committee on Transportation was called to order by Chairman William R. O'Donnell, at 6:18 p.m., on Friday, May 28, 1999, on the Senate Floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster.

Chairman O’Donnell opened the floor meeting on Senate Bill (S.B.) 80.

SENATE BILL 80: Revises provisions governing speed limits in school zones. (BDR 43-159)

SENATOR JACOBSEN MOVED TO CONCUR WITH AMENDMENT NO. 988 TO S.B. 80.

SENATOR WIENER SECONDED THE MOTION.

THE MOTION CARRIED. (SENATORS SHAFFER AND WASHINGTON WERE ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)

Chairman O’Donnell discussed Senate Bill (S.B.) 491 and no action was taken.

SENATE BILL 491: Makes various changes relating to regulation of common and contract motor carriers, operators of tow cars, carriers of household goods, taxicab motor carriers and limousine motor carriers. (BDR 58-1606)

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:25 p.m.
