THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. NRS 655.070 is hereby amended to read as follows: 655.070 1. Every person who wishes to operate as a locksmith or1-3
safe mechanic1-4
which his principal place of business is located.1-5
2. The sheriff of a county shall investigate each applicant and shall1-6
issue a permit to each applicant who qualifies under any ordinance adopted1-7
by the board of county commissioners of the county which regulates the1-8
occupation of locksmiths and who is found by the board of county1-9
commissioners to be suitable. An ordinance adopted by the board of1-10
county commissioners must specify fees for the issuance and renewal of a1-11
permit.1-12
3. A permit expires1-13
and may be renewed.1-14
4. The holder of a permit shall have the permit in his possession at all1-15
