THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. NRS 408.227 is hereby repealed.1-2
Sec. 2. The state controller shall, as soon as practicable after July 1,1-3
1999, transfer any money in the state highway payroll clearing account1-4
created pursuant to NRS 408.227 which has not been committed for1-5
expenditure, to the state general fund.1-6
Sec. 3. This act becomes effective on July 1, 1999.

TEXT OF REPEALED SECTION408.227 State highway payroll clearing account: Establishment;

reimbursement; placement in banks.1-10
1. The state highway payroll clearing account is hereby established to1-11
pay the payroll of the department. As the payroll warrants are presented to1-12
the state highway payroll clearing account for payment, the state treasurer1-13
shall reimburse the state highway payroll clearing account.2-1
2. The director shall place the state highway payroll clearing account2-2
in one or more banks of reputable standing which have been approved by2-3
the state board of finance.~
