THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. NRS 486.231 is hereby amended to read as follows: 486.231 1. The department shall adopt standards for1-3

drivers and passengers of motorcycles and transparent windscreens for1-5
motorcycles.1-6

and passenger shall wear1-9

standards. Drivers and passengers of trimobiles shall wear protective1-11
glasses, goggles or face shields which meet those standards.2-1
3. When a motorcycle or a trimobile is equipped with a transparent2-2
windscreen meeting those standards, the driver and passenger are not2-3
required to wear protective glasses, goggles or face shields.2-4
4. When a motorcycle is being driven in a parade authorized by a local2-5
authority, the driver and passenger are not required to wear the protective2-6
devices provided for in this section.2-7
5. When a three-wheel motorcycle2-8
passengers ride within an enclosed cab2-9
the driver and passengers are not required to wear the protective devices2-10
required by this section.2-11

motorcycles unless the equipment is of a type and specification meeting2-16
the standards therefor adopted by the department.2-17
2. The provisions of this section do not prohibit the sale of protective2-18

and regulations adopted by the United States Department of2-20
Transportation.~
