THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Chapter 284 of NRS is hereby amended by adding thereto1-2
a new section to read as follows:1-3
Except as otherwise provided by a specific statute:1-4
1. Information that is obtained during the course of an internal1-5
investigation of the conduct of an officer or employee in the executive1-6
department of state government to determine whether to discipline the1-7
officer or employee:1-8
(a) Must be recorded and placed in one investigatory file; and1-9
(b) Is confidential until the investigation is completed.1-10
2. Upon completion of the investigation, the information that is1-11
contained in the investigatory file is a public record and must be made1-12
available for public inspection.~
