AN ACT making an appropriation to the Garlic and Onion Growers’ Advisory Board for research on White Rot; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

1-1 Section 1. 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general

1-2 fund to the Garlic and Onion Growers’ Advisory Board the sum of

1-3 $80,000 for research on White Rot.

1-4 2. The Garlic and Onion Growers’ Advisory Board may only expend

1-5 an amount of the money appropriated in subsection 1 equal to the amount

1-6 for which matching money is provided from the Garlic and Onion

1-7 Research and Promotion Account created by NRS 561.423 or donations, or

1-8 a combination of both.

1-9 Sec. 2. Any remaining balance of the sum appropriated by subsection

1-10 1 of section 1 of this act must not be committed for expenditure after June

1-11 30, 2001, and reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of

1-12 money committed have been made.

1-13 Sec. 3. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
