THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. 1. The Department of Transportation shall assist each1-2
county in the State of Nevada whose population is less than 50,000 in1-3
developing a computerized pavement management system that is similar to1-4
the system used by the Department.1-5
2. As used in this section, "computerized pavement management1-6
system" means a tool that uses a computer to compile data concerning the1-7
conditions of roadways and the costs of maintaining those roadways to1-8
assist persons who make decisions concerning those roadways to:1-9
(a) Establish priorities systematically for projects of construction and1-10
maintenance;1-11
(b) Optimize the use of available money; and1-12
(c) Make informed decisions.~
