THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general1-2
fund to the legislative fund, created pursuant to NRS 218.085, the sum of1-3
$10,000 for expenditure by the Closeup Foundation, an organization that1-4
helps high school pupils attend the Nevada Legislature during the1-5
legislative session.1-6
2. Allocations from the appropriation made in subsection 1 must be1-7
approved by the Legislative Commission upon its acceptance of a proposal2-1
for the expenditure of money appropriated by subsection 1 by the Closeup2-2
Foundation.2-3
Sec. 2. Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by section 12-4
of this act must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2001, and2-5
reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of money2-6
committed have been made.2-7
Sec. 3. This act becomes effective on July 1, 1999.~
