AN ACT making an appropriation to the State Public Works Board for feasibility studies regarding the construction of Hi-Tech Learning Centers in Lyon County and in Douglas County, Nevada; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

1-1 Section 1. 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general

1-2 fund to the State Public Works Board the sum of $150,000 for two

1-3 feasibility studies regarding the construction of Hi-Tech Learning Centers

1-4 in:

1-5 (a) Lyon County at Yerington High School or Fernley High School; and

1-6 (b) Douglas County.

1-7 2. On or before March 1, 2001, the State Public Works Board shall

1-8 report the results of its studies to the Director of the Legislative Counsel

1-9 Bureau for transmittal to the 71st session of the Nevada Legislature.

1-10 Sec. 2. Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by section 1

1-11 of this act must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2001, and

1-12 reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of money

1-13 committed have been made.

1-14 Sec. 3. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
