AN ACT making an appropriation to the Department of Transportation for the construction of an extension to the sound barrier along the east side of U.S. Highway No. 95/Interstate Highway No. 115 near Elaina Avenue in Las Vegas; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

1-1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to

1-2 the Department of Transportation the sum of $1,497,000 for the

1-3 construction of a 5,000-foot extension to the sound barrier along the east

1-4 side of U.S. Highway No. 95/Interstate Highway No. 115 continuing from

1-5 the south end of the existing sound barrier and terminating near the end of

1-6 Nellis Boulevard near Elaina Avenue in Las Vegas.

1-7 Sec. 2. Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by section 1

1-8 of this act must not be committed for expenditure after the project is

1-9 completed and reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of

1-10 money committed have been made.

1-11 Sec. 3. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
