THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to1-2
the Department of Transportation the sum of $1,497,000 for the1-3
construction of a 5,000-foot extension to the sound barrier along the east1-4
side of U.S. Highway No. 95/Interstate Highway No. 115 continuing from1-5
the south end of the existing sound barrier and terminating near the end of1-6
Nellis Boulevard near Elaina Avenue in Las Vegas.1-7
Sec. 2. Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by section 11-8
of this act must not be committed for expenditure after the project is1-9
completed and reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of1-10
money committed have been made.1-11
Sec. 3. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.~
