AN ACT making a contingent appropriation to the Department of Transportation for
the construction of an extension to the sound barrier along the east side of
U.S. Highway No. 95/Interstate Highway No. 515 near Elaina Avenue in Las Vegas; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to1-2
the Department of Transportation the sum of $748,500 for the construction1-3
of a 5,000-foot extension to the sound barrier along the east side of U.S.1-4
Highway No. 95/Interstate Highway No. 515 continuing from the south end1-5
of the existing sound barrier and terminating near the end of Nellis1-6
Boulevard near Elaina Avenue in Las Vegas.1-7
Sec. 2. The Department of Transportation may use the money1-8
appropriated pursuant to section 1 of this act only if matching money is1-9
received in full from local governments or other public or private sources.1-10
Sec. 3. Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by section 11-11
of this act must not be committed for expenditure after the project is1-12
completed and reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of1-13
money committed have been made.2-1
Sec. 4. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.~
