AN ACT making an appropriation to the White Pine County School District for the payment of short-term debts incurred by the school district; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

1-1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to

1-2 the White Pine County School District the sum of $2,031,337 for the

1-3 payment of short-term debts incurred by the school district.

1-4 Sec. 2. On or before June 30, 2000, the White Pine County School

1-5 District shall submit to the Department of Administration and the Fiscal

1-6 Analysis Division of the Legislative Counsel Bureau verification that the

1-7 debts have been repaid.

1-8 Sec. 3. Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by section 1

1-9 of this act must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2000, and

1-10 reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of money

1-11 committed have been made.

1-12 Sec. 4. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
