AN ACT relating to hunting; prohibiting a person who has received a refund for a hunting license from being denied bonus points for additional chances to obtain a hunting tag; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

1-1 Section 1. Chapter 502 of NRS is hereby amended by adding thereto

1-2 a new section to read as follows:

1-3 1. No person who has requested and received a refund for the value

1-4 of his hunting license, less any nonrefundable administrative fee adopted

1-5 by the commission for acting upon an application for a tag, may be

1-6 denied participation in or the award of any bonus points that may be

1-7 accumulated by him through a program for the receipt of bonus points

1-8 solely because he received such a refund.

1-9 2. As used in this section, "program for the receipt of bonus points"

1-10 means a program established by the commission and administered by the

1-11 division whereby a person who is unsuccessful in applying for a resident

1-12 tag:

2-1 (a) Is awarded a bonus point or other numerical indicator that entitles

2-2 the person to receive an additional number for use in a subsequent

2-3 drawing for a resident tag; or

2-4 (b) Receives a subsequent opportunity to apply for or participate in a

2-5 drawing for a resident tag.
