THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Section 20 of chapter 452, Statutes of Nevada 1997, at1-2
page 1713, is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 20. 1. A proposed resort hotel:1-4

which has been designated for gaming by the master plan of the1-7
county; and1-8

submitted to the county before June 28, 1997,1-10
may petition the county, city or town having jurisdiction over the1-11
location of the proposed establishment to designate the location of1-12
the proposed establishment a gaming enterprise district pursuant to1-13
NRS1-14
2. A proposed resort hotel:1-15
(a) That is located on 15 or more contiguous acres of property;1-16
(b) That is located within 500 feet from the centerline of a state1-17
highway that does not intersect the Las Vegas Boulevard gaming1-18
corridor and along which at least three licensed resort hotels are1-19
located on the effective date of this act; and2-1
(c) That is located within 500 feet from a parcel of land on2-2
which a licensed resort hotel is located on the effective date of this2-3
act,2-4
may petition the county, city or town having jurisdiction over the2-5
location of the proposed establishment to designate the location of2-6
the proposed establishment a gaming enterprise district pursuant2-7
to NRS 463.3084.2-8
Sec. 2. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.~
