AN ACT making an appropriation to the Office of the Attorney General for a statewide training program by the Nevada Network for Domestic Violence; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

1-1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to

1-2 the Office of the Attorney General the sum of $50,000 for disbursement to

1-3 the Nevada Network for Domestic Violence to provide statewide training

1-4 of welfare intake workers to identify victims of domestic violence, refer

1-5 them to appropriate services and follow up as necessary.

1-6 Sec. 2. Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by section 1

1-7 of this act must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2001, and

1-8 reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of money

1-9 committed have been made.

1-10 Sec. 3. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
