THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Chapter 209 of NRS is hereby amended by adding thereto1-2
a new section to read as follows:1-3
Each manager, warden and employee of the department shall:1-4
1. Carry out the duties as may be assigned to him by the director;1-5

2. Not engage in any other gainful employment or occupation except1-7
as approved by the director pursuant to subsection 11 of NRS 209.131.1-8
Sec. 2. NRS 209.111 is hereby amended to read as follows: 209.111 1. The board has full control of all grounds, buildings, labor1-10

materials and tools necessary for any lawful purpose carried on at any1-13

warden or employee of the department to engage in any other gainful2-37
employment or occupation.2-38
12. Except as otherwise provided in NRS 209.111, has the final2-39
authority to carry out the provisions of this section.2-40
Sec. 4. This act becomes effective on July 1, 1999.~
