AN ACT relating to the commission for the preservation of wild horses; authorizing the commission to spend a portion of the money in the Heil trust fund for wild horses to conduct a study of the feasibility of establishing a private foundation for the promotion of the public adoption of wild horses and burros; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

1-1 Section 1. 1. The commission for the preservation of wild horses is

1-2 hereby authorized to spend no more than $75,000 in the Heil trust fund for

1-3 wild horses created pursuant to NRS 504.450 to conduct a study of the

1-4 feasibility of establishing a private foundation to promote the adoption of

1-5 wild horses and burros by members of the general public.

1-6 2. The commission for the preservation of wild horses shall submit a

1-7 written report of the results of the study to the Director of the Legislative

1-8 Counsel Bureau for transmission to the 71st session of the Nevada

1-9 Legislature.

1-10 Sec. 2. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
