THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. NRS 412.026 is hereby amended to read as follows: 412.026 1. The militia of the state is composed of the Nevada1-3
National Guard and, when called into active service by the governor, the1-4
Nevada National Guard Reserve and any volunteer organizations licensed1-5
by the governor.1-6
2. The Nevada National Guard is an organized body of enlisted1-7
personnel between the ages of 17 and 64 years and commissioned officers1-8
between the ages of 18 and1-9
National Guard and the Nevada Air National Guard.1-10
3. The Nevada National Guard Reserve is an unorganized body1-11
comprising all able-bodied residents of the state between the ages of 171-12
and 64 years who:1-13
(a) Are not serving in any force of the Nevada National Guard;1-14
(b) Are or have declared their intention to become citizens of the United1-15
States; and1-16
(c) Are not exempted from military duty under the laws of this state or1-17
the United States.2-1
4. If a volunteer organization is formed and becomes licensed by the2-2
governor, it shall consist of an organized body of able-bodied residents of2-3
the state between the ages of 17 and 64 years who are not serving in any2-4
force of the Nevada National Guard and who are or who have declared2-5
their intention to become citizens of the United States.2-6
Sec. 2. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.~
