ASSEMBLY CONCURRENT RESOLUTION—Amending the Joint Rules of the Senate
and Assembly for the 70th legislative session to restrict the consideration of
certain bills.

Resolved by the Assembly of the State of Nevada, the Senate1-2
Concurring, That the Joint Rules of the Senate and Assembly as adopted1-3
by the 70th session of the Legislature are amended by the following1-4
addition:1-5
MEMORIALS AND COMMENDATIONS1-6
Rule No. 23. Limitation on Hearing.1-7
1. On or after the 60th calendar day of the legislative session, a1-8
concurrent resolution or a resolution of one House that is used to1-9
memorialize a person or congratulate or commend a person or1-10
organization may only be considered on the floor of the Senate or1-11
Assembly as the last order of business before adjournment on a Friday.1-12
2. In relation to a concurrent resolution, this rule may only be1-13
waived upon an affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to1-14
the Senate and an affirmative vote of two-thirds of al members elected to1-15
the Assembly. In relation to a resolution of one House, this rule may only2-1
be waived upon an affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected2-2
to the House of origin. Any vote taken pursuant to this rule must be2-3
recorded in the journal of the House.~
